Special Interest Groups

Special Interest Groups

  • The Irish Computer Society provides members with an independent means of keeping up-to-date, resources for professional development and a network of contacts in the ICT sector to build and share ideas.
  • Listed below are a number of Special Interest Groups made up of members from all the societies we support but who share a special interest in a particular area of IT. Each group has it's own member events and networking meetings decided and led by group members.
  • If you have an idea for a Special Interest Group or would like to make a non-commercial presentation to our members relevant to a group please contact memberservices@ics.ie

IT Asset Management Special Interest Group (ITAM SIG)

  • The ITAM SIG is a free group for members* to meet and discuss the challenges of IT Asset Management.
  • The group is led by ITAM specialists who are very familiar with the challenges faced by ITAM managers and administrators.

Health Informatics Nursing & Midwifery Special Interest Group (HISI-NM SIG)

  • The HISI-NM SIG is a free group for members* to meet and discuss the challenges of Nursing Informatics.
  • HISI NM is made up of nurses and midwives who seek to use health data to improve patient outcomes.

Coming soon! - Digital Marketing Special Interest Group (DM SIG)

  • The DM SIG is a free group for members* to meet and discuss the challenges of Digital Marketing.
  • The group exists to share and understand best practice and the challenges faced by Digital Marketing managers and executives.
  • We will post a link to the new page very soon. In the meantime, if you would like to express your interest in this group please mail memebrservices@ics.ie or update your preferences in the 'My Special Interests' section of the members' area.
